Mahli sunrise alarm clock1/22/2024 Look through our list, choose your favorite, and if you can, test out the light at a store near you, says Dr. If you're looking try one out, though, we've combed through reviews of some of the best products available to help make your shopping easier. In situations like those, sunrise alarm clocks would not be very useful. Conditions like cataracts can also impair your eye's reactivity to light, she adds. For example, if your head often ends up buried under the covers in the a.m., or you like to punch on the snooze button all morning, the light would have no effect. So these clocks can come in handy to sync your sleep/wake patterns with the cycle of the sun, attune your body to a different time zone or daylight savings, as well as help make waking at least a bit more pleasurable.īut they may not work for everyone, says Dr. The brain then suppresses melatonin - the sleep inducing hormone - and bumps up the release of cortisol and neurotransmitters such as serotonin, norepinephrine, and histamine to stir you awake. When the light is bright enough, it can stimulate the sensors at the back of your eye to tell your brain it's time to get up, according to Yuen. They contain a light that mimics sunlight as it gradually increases in intensity until your desired wake up time. Unlike your classic alarms, these clocks are designed to help you wake up more naturally to your biological rhythm. So instead of adding to that stress with loud, triggering bells and ringtones, some people are choosing to wake up with sunrise alarm clocks - a.k.a. "Cortisol, a stress induced hormone, helps with that process." But when we start to open our eyes, "the brain has to adapt by speeding up our heart rate and constricting blood vessels ," says Dr. When we are asleep, our blood pressure is lower, which is normal when we are lying down for hours sleeping. Kin Yuen, M.D., M.S., a sleep medicine specialist at the University of California San Francisco. Or perhaps you get up feeling groggy from a rude awakening.Įven for the graceful morning people among us, getting out of bed is pretty intense on the body, according to Dr. When you're all warm and cozy in the sheets and that clock goes off, jolting you out of sweet slumber, it's only natural to want to smash that snooze button and go back to sleep. Waking up can be a stressful experience, especially when you're getting up to the sound of a blaring alarm.

Nuggets suns preview1/22/2024 The Nuggets can live with Murray-Jokic pick and roll being vulnerable. If the Suns try and attack him defensively, he has to hold up. He’s a different, and much better, defender now. It was his second playoff run, and he had actually tweaked his back in that series. The Suns tortured MPJ two years ago in the matchup. They have to win this series with points.Ģ. Phoenix is not well-built to defend Denver, Denver is not well-built to defend the Suns. If Denver finds ways to create not just efficient offense, but trade 3’s for 2’s, that gives them a chance. The Suns, as Suns fans know, don’t take enough threes. But they can outscore Phoenix using math to their advantage. The Nuggets are not going to slow down a team capable of shooting above 50% in the mid-range. What are 3 keys to the Nuggets winning the series against the Suns?ġ. Denver’s resistance to 1-4 switches will be important in this series. But they also surrender switches easily and give teams the opportunity to pick their personnel matchups. They have athleticism with Michael Porter Jr., Aaron Gordon, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope and Christian Braun. That’s Denver’s upside: they get better at rotational timing the more they play a team at the same time Jokic figures out things on the offensive end more and more. Denver got better as the season went on at the weakside rotations out of the hedge or blitz. How do the Nuggets hide or mitigate that weakness? If you get Jokic in his worse situations, you can light up the Nuggets. When they drop, Nikola Jokic is as bad as people tend to suggest his defense is all the time. But too often it leads to open corner threes. The Nuggets have things they can do well when they play at the level and blitz, they can recover and get back to challenge. That’s against a Timberwolves team missing several key pieces and while Anthony Edwards is awesome, he’s not nearly the level of pick and roll player the Suns have. Denver was 21st in pick and roll defense this season, and has the second-worst mark behind the Bucks in the playoffs. Furthermore, when that happens, their defense suffers and it creates a spiral. Get them out of that, and they rely a lot more on individual player excellence, and they have some of that, but not like the Suns have. When they’re not on the same page, the dynamic offense that astounds can look sloppy and disjointed. When Denver fails to get into its sets, it’s a lot easier to stop.įinally, just connectedness. IF you’re going to run an offense dependent on multiple actions and leveraging the defense, you need more time to do it. In related news, the Nuggets are 27-7 (79%) when they have fewer turnovers than their opponent, and 30-23 (57%) when they have more.ĭenver also suffers when they don’t initiate the offense early. You can run the ball down their throat off turnovers, which is a big reason why their transition defensive numbers are horrendous. Like any great passing offense, the Nuggets can get sloppy, and when they do, they don’t have the ability to get back and get stops. What keeps the Nuggets from exhibiting that greatest strength all the time? Denver has nights where the offense doesn’t look good, they’re not as singularly talented as Phoenix at just “dribble shoot, bucket” but when they’re clicking? It’s a nightmare to try and stop and it hits you like an avalanche from all angles. You want to play it straight up? He’ll score 40 on 25 shots. You want to double Jokic in the post? He’s the best in the league at manipulating it for open looks, and he’ll bring you up high to find cutters underneath. You want to switch? They’re putting your small in a pick and roll defending the screener. They have layers upon layers and options beyond options. The five-man starting offense around Jokic. Q: What is the Nuggets greatest strength (what no one can stop, when they’ve got it going)Ī. As a resident of Denver, Matt sees the Nuggets in person for all their home games as he scouts all 30 NBA teams on their way through Ball Arena. Matt covers all 30 teams on a level of detail few of us can hope to attain because he’s always analyzing the betting angles for Action. You might know Matt from his days as ‘Hardwood Paroxysm’ or from. We Suns fans certainly don’t know as much about the Nuggets as we do about the Suns, so here’s some insight on the Suns next opponent. I checked in with long-time colleague Matt Moore of the Action Network for his thoughts on the Nuggets. Suns-Nuggets Preview: Notes, Quotes, Stats, Odds and more

Airtable webhook1/22/2024 Once you’ve received a successful response for the example webhook, you need to test the webhook directly in the Airtable automation. Check that your request was sent with a Content-Type header of "application/json".You can send over any JSON object in the test, but for sake of example we’ll use a simple object: ). Next, click the “Content tab” directly underneath where you pasted your webhook URL. Paste the webhook URL (generated by Airtable) into the textbox near the top of the screen. This enables you to integrate with services that Airtable doesn’t currently support or to programmatically trigger automations, preventing you from having to write custom code or manage your own infrastructure. When Airtable receives a request at this URL, we’ll then trigger the automation that you configured (just like our other triggers). You can use this URL with another service’s webhook configuration UI, or use it directly from your own custom code (e.g. The incoming webhook trigger will create a unique URL that you can use to trigger an Airtable automation. Even Firebase Cloud Functions are annoying to setup. The annoying thing about AWS and Google Cloud is that their platforms come with a learning curve. You can reach out to me with any questions you encounter along the way. I also recommend joining our Slack community. We’re in open beta and its free to get started. Lastly, if you haven’t already, sign up for a Memberstack 2.0 account. Now, before we get started, here’s a few things to keep in mind. This is a low-code tutorial, but you should still have basic familiarity with JavaScript and APIs.Also, if you end up using any of this code in production, make sure you’re available to keep an eye on the code from time to time. Logging new Memberstack members in Airtableīy the end of this tutorial, you’ll have your own automation running in your own cloud function. The best part is, you don’t have to worry about servers, backends, or any complex tooling!.Best practices in setting up an Airtable database.Subscribing to Webhook Events in Memberstack 2.0.□ In a rush? Fork the cloud function & clone the Airtable base In this post, I’m going to teach you step by step how to harness the power of cloud functions to automate events in Memberstack and sync new members into Airtable. If you’ve outgrown tools like Zapier and Make or you’re simply interested in low-code scripting with 3rd party APIs, then going serverless is a simple and easy way to get started. In my previous post, I introduced the concept of going serverless and its benefits.

Nerd to alpha male1/22/2024 I liked Bryan because he was a legit underdog, how is he Beta if he was buried, rose from the ashes like a bearded Phoenix and forced the WWE to recognize him? That's some Gladiator movie type stuff there!Ī Wrestler who became a jobber, a jobber who became a Main Eventer, a Main Eventer who defied a Wrestling Empire. Why I'd imagine they'd buy magic beans if someone was selling some to people. It's obvious as to what's going on but I suppose these people are the types to cheer for heroes because they're told to, boo because they're told to and buy anything and everything advertised. I often wonder how people can clamor for people with no mic skills, not entertaining in the ring and pushed to corner a certain market. Not knocking on the titles but the winners are picked beforehand and as we seen it rarely has anything to do with how over someone is or what talent they have. A nerd, a Motrhead, an all American patriot type, a metal head, and 3 close. Using a feminist textual analysis that includes the Toy Story franchise, Monsters, Inc., Finding Nemo, The Incredibles, and Coco, we suggest that Pixar films, while offering audiences a "new man," continue to reinforce hege-monic masculinities in subtle ways that require critical examination to move from presumed gender neutrality to an understanding of continued, though shifting, gender hegemony. One might question why so many live vicariously through roided up goobers and celebrate title wins as if it's an actual accomplishment or feat of strength? Beta males lack the physical presence, charisma and confidence of the Alpha male. Using Raewyn Connell's theory of gender hegemony and related critiques, we suggest that while Pixar films strive to provide their male characters with a feminist spin, they also continue to reify hegemonic masculinities through sharp contrasts to femininities and by privileg-ing heterosexuality. Considering this omission, we explore mas-culinities in films from Disney's lucrative subsidiary Pixar to determine how mas-culinities are represented and have and/or have not disrupted dominant gender norms as constructed for young boys' viewership. Representations of boys and men in Disney films often escape notice due to presumed gender neutrality. In conclusion, I hint at some ideas on how to create a greater awareness about the sometimes questionable messages these films are delivering. You can be a real man instead of always being the beta, the nice guy, the shy schmuck that never gets the girls. I analyze how certain archetypes of male characters, namely the alpha-male, the underdog and the new man are (de)constructed and reinforced (and sometimes transgressed) in the films, and I also have a look at homosocial friendships, heteronormativity and able-bodied male characters. Becoming an alpha male can change your life. Sometimes you just have to die a little inside in order to be reborn and rise again as a stronger and wiser version of you. Now everybody looks funny at these nerds and. Get hired by a company for modelling, get paid one bijillion dollars. Alpha Chad takes of his fucking shirt off, takes a few photos put i on inst-gram. A moment of patience in a moment of anger saves you a hundred moments of regret. Nerds are the true alpha males Everybody have deep respect to athletes, jocks, Chads and Tyrones while geeks and nerds are seen as virgin dweeps. Given the fact that especially Pixar animated films do not solely address children, but actually viewers of all age groups, it is important to realize how our views of gender roles in general and masculinity in particular is influenced by those films. The less you respond to negative people, the more peaceful your life will become. If you are an omega, you say what you mean and mean what you say. This essay looks at the feature films released by Pixar Animation Studios (which are part of The Walt Disney Company and has been a close collaborator with them ever since the development of their first animated feature film, Toy Story) and some later Disney CGI films and examine how male characters are portrayed and how they construct masculinity. Like beta males, video games are one of the things omega men tend to gravitate to.

Most business should find Backblaze as a very good backup solution, but in cases where a backup archive needs to be kept indefinitely, alternative solutions should be looked at (specifically CrashPlan - though it is significantly more expensive at 10/month). The new monthly plan now costs $7, while the yearly plan will set you back by $70.Read more of this story at Slashdot. In addition, the 50/year pricing is very competitive. The combination of these two trends, along with our desire to continue investing in providing a great service, is driving the need to modestly increase our prices. Additionally, not only have component prices not fallen at traditional rates, but recently electronic components that we rely on to provide our services have actually increased in price. So yearly, thats as expensive IDrives 10 TB plan and Backblaze is much cheaper. 650 per month for 2 TB storage, which is just about 8. Pay just 6/TB/month for durable hot storage, making it cost-effective to retain both your backup and an archive for as long as you need it. Google drive is still far too expensive for large backups. Backblaze’s personal and business plans follow the same pricing structure. The best soln is a normal cloud storage and a proper backup software, cuz Google/MS have regional pricing for India. Backblaze discounts are available on yearly and 2-year plans (up to 27 that you can save on a 2-year). However, the average backup size stored by Computer Backup customers has spiked 15% over just the last two years. Backblaze offers monthly, yearly, and 2-year plans, which is not the case with other providers. We've invested in deduplication, compression, and other technologies to continually optimize our storage platform and drive our costs down - savings which we pass on to our customers in the form of storing more data for the same price. By default, Backblaze saves any old versions or deleted files for 30 days, with the option to enable One Year Extended Version History for free. Backblaze CEO Gleb Budman, writing on the company blog: Over the last 14 years, we have worked diligently to keep our costs low and pass our savings on to customers.
